Intuitive Eating

Four years ago you would find me with my food scale weighing out my spinach. Yes, you read that right. Spinach. I was doing a keto diet for my bikini competition without a period, very low body fat and living in a state of complete adrenal fatigue, extremely sore and tired all of the time. Towards the end of my prep, I would get confused as to where I was and felt like I was losing brain cells by the minute but my body fat was low and I looked fantastic. Was it worth it? HECK NO!

I wanted to bring Holly Goodwin on because she and I have similar stories. She competed and was a fitness model with a similar protocol for always being lean and falling into the dark cycle of being perfectly fit all year long.

Intuitive Eating

Imagine trusting your body enough to be the weight it is supposed to be. Imagine knowing how hard to push your workout and how much you should eat after you workout. Imagine if you could listen to your own gut to know what was up. This is intuitive eating.

Intuitive eating by definition is a nutrition philosophy based on the premise that becoming more attuned to the body’s natural hunger signals is a more effective way to attain a healthy weight, rather than keeping track of the amounts of energy and fats in foods.
