How to Treat Depression Naturally

After dealing with depression my entire life and wanting to get off the happy pills I made a choice at 19 to change my ways. Although I was still bulimic and dealing with body dysmorphia, I took a class in college that completely changed the course of my life. Like most 18-20-year-olds I felt confused as to where I wanted my life to go. I wanted to be a computer programmer through high school and ended up taking on a summer internship at Boeing (yes that Boeing) where I quickly learned that sitting at a desk for 8 hours writing code 5 days a week wasn’t my path. I then went on to learn how to mix music which I still love to this day but saw how dark the industry was and knew that wasn’t my path either. I took a class called Mind and Body for easy credits and after that semester I learned that my path was much different. I also learned that how I treated my body was

I took a class called Mind and Body for easy credits and after that semester I learned that my path was much different. In that class, I learned about chakras, journaling, positive thinking, eating a well-balanced diet, meditation practice, shamanism, crystals and so much more. After I took that class I started to implement what I learned and soon saw that my depression was declining at a rapid rate. Sure, I still get depressed even to this day but I know that eating a cleaner diet, meditating, journaling and using techniques like EFT and positive thinking help me get through those bouts.
