When the music hits, you feel no pain..
Words to live by, and true words at that. You know that song you turn on that completely alters your mood, that song that takes you from a moment of frustration to encouragement..
I stand by music to get me through anything and everything, from a tough workout to walking down my wedding aisle, music has always been there for me.
One thing I love about different songs is that everyone has a different moment or event that is tied to it. For instance, Kanye West “Champion” reminds me of driving to Cal Poly Pomona in my white mustang feeling so fly after waitressing. Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me to the Moon” was my wedding song but for a friend it was her Dad’s tribute song and it reminded her of that every time she heard it. See what I mean, to each individual person a song can have so many meanings, which is why I wanted to share with you a playlist I use to get me out of a rut. One that I personally turn on when I get discouraged or feel out of sorts, there is some Kanye on it but his album Graduation taught me how to hustle so that particular one has a special place in my heart.
Music Playlist for Motivation
Hoodies are completely necessary, especially this Diva On a Mission Hoodie from Tobi.Com. You have to wear one while jamming out with your beats. Mr B, my husband always makes fun of my Beats headphones but I personally love them! The sound is incredible, they are wireless, they charge quickly, they fit snug and the sound quality is out of this world.
The next time you feel out of sorts, make a playlist, sit and rock out, chill out of jam out. It can change your mood, it can flip the mood of your house, and it can even motivate you to go the distance. Random story, I at one time in my life was learning how to DJ, move over Paris Hilton. I had tables, my playlists and even a name, DJ CourtStar anyone? These skills however helped me make the playlists for my Bootycamp group classes I used to host so I forgive myself for that time in my life.
So I wanna know..
- What is your go to song?
- Do you like playlists? Are you on Spotify or Apple Music?
