I joined one of LA’s premier gyms Crunch after moving from Equinox due to a rude staff, feeling like I needed to GLAM up for the gym everyday + rude people modeling in front of mirrors while you are trying to sweat. More on that if you ask me..anyways, Crunch ROCKs, I love the fun group classes, happy instructors + atmosphere. I also love the FULL STOCKED BLISS SPA products in the locker rooms..

Lately, I have been doning spin classes as my meditation + cardio blast. I used to use Tabatas + HIIT training for my cardio, but all of that gets old after awhile. I right now am enjoying spin classes with a mix of Cardio Barre Beverly Hills + if I get a chance a PINK IRON Sweat dripper! I was missing my friends + had been seeing my girlfriend Kimisha at the gym literally EVERYDAY! My girlfriend told me BUTI was T-H-E class at Crunch…

Boy was I shakin some bones…


With rap songs BLASTING + an instructor that really knew how to shake it, I mean seriously knew how to shake her perfectly round booty, I was LOVING every sweat drippin moment. I walked in expecting a choreographed hip hop type dance class and walked out with a new appreciation + ability to TWERK..yes, I TWERKED.


BUTI Fitness is a combination of Plyometrics, fusion Yoga + Tribal Dance with classes ranging from 60-90 minute, depending on where you take it, and from what I have read you can also rock this workout in a HOT studio. Me + BUTI + Hot ROOM= AMAZING, I hope to find one of these studios! There is also a HIIT (high intensity interval) portion where sweat was literally dripping down my stomach and I let out a huge WHHEWW

If you know anything about me, you know I am a BIG believer in CHAKRAS and when I started researching BUTI, I read that it helps women EMPOWER their Chakra 1+ 2 (root + sexuality), open up those HIPS (creativity) and get that SHAKTI SPIRAL (essence of woman, energy, POWER) spinning round + round. In other words, my WOMAN HOOD was in FULL EFFECT, I felt STRONG, powerful + uplifted after this class. I literally could not STOP talking about it at my Fourth of July Party.

I look forward to taking this class again + definitely recommend it to any WOMAN who needs a little POWER SHOCK!

What being a #FITFRIEND means


Being a #FITFRIEND means UPLIFTING, SUPPORTING + MOTIVATING a friend to get FIT with you. It’s about connecting or re-connecting with a friend on ANOTHER level. It’s about having FUN + challenging your friends and yourself to a new level. In the blogging community we share recipes, fun activities,  workouts + our tips to be well but sharing these tips, advice + especially adventures with friends outside of the community is a positive way for our world to become a HEALTHIER one.

RESEARCH proves having someone to hold you accountable is one of the biggest tools for SUCCESS in your health + wellness journey! Sharing ideas, workouts + recipes with a friend or even INSPIRING them to get on the HEALTH train is motivating to BOTH of you! Call/Text/Email a friend, an old friend, sister, Mom, cousin, Aunt or just ANYONE + make a FIT DATE! You can meet for a juice, a HIKE, a yoga class, a dance class (possibilities are ENDLESS)…

Time to feel the HEALTH buzz TOGETHER..


As a personal trainer, I have had many clients want to bring along a sister, cousin who’s in town for the weekend, mom or friend and I always say YES because all of a sudden my client WORKS hard, stops complaining + ENJOYS the moment and I see them encouraging their counterpart for the day to do the same. It is such a beautiful thing to watch other women motivate other women!
