Summer is RIGHT around the corner + its time to SHOW off those ARMS in cute little tanks + halters! One of the best ways to get rid of the BAT wings as we all like to call it is by lifting weights + focusing on your arms. The two exercises demonstrated in the video below, can be performed anywhere all you need is a DUMBBELL set or if you are just starting out SOUP cans are a great alternative. As you progress, you are going to want to invest in a good pair of  ADJUSTABLE dumbbell’s so you can keep challenging your muscles!
  • Tricep Kickbacks: To perform this exercise, grab a pair of dumbbells. Place your feet shoulder width apart, with a slight bend in your knees. Tilt over, keeping those abs in and back straight. Bend at the elbow, but keep those elbows in and kick back, resisting as you press. Make sure to keep your WRISTS straight + those abs engaged!

Tricep Kickback

  • Tricep Extensions: To perform this exercise, you just need one dumbbell. Place one hand on top of the other and have your feet shoulder width apart with a slight bend in your knee. Keep your elbows close to your ears and resist to bring the dumbbell down behind the head.

Like I mentioned in my Chest Exercises post, I split train, so for my Tricep/Chest Day I would complete these two exercises along with some chest exercises. If you want to get in a bit of cardio, I suggest performing Mountain Climbers because you will get an ABDOMINAL BURN + work those tricep + chest muscles AGAIN while getting that heart rate up.
For example, the Tank Top Workout combines chest, tricep + a quick cardio burst! To get the most out of this workout, perform each circuit for a total of three times, adding more weight as you go. If you really want a challenge do 60 seconds of Mountain Climbers each round!

I used to enjoy body weight exercises until I started lifting with my hubby + I noticed such a BIG difference. I enjoy combining both so I get the BEST of both worlds.
